Wei Zhiren was an ugly evil spirit, lonely both in life and after death. But now she was going to get married.
Someone had used her birth details to arrange a ghost marriage for her. It was compulsory: if either party failed to go through with it, both would vanish completely.
After being alone for so long, Wei Zhiren had sometimes dreamed of having someone to keep her company. So she took this opportunity to carefully hide her ugly appearance, brought a large amount of gold and silver as a bride price, and nervously set off to meet her match.
But she never imagined her marriage partner would be Jiang Qingci, a top-tier star in the entertainment industry. She had become an overnight sensation for her beauty as soon as she debuted, and was hailed as a fairy who had accidentally fallen into the mortal world, Nuwa's finest creation.
Wei Zhiren was instantly overcome with such deep inferiority that she wanted to vanish on the spot, but one casual glance from the goddess of beauty pinned her in place.
"On our wedding night, you're going to leave me alone?"
Once Wei Zhiren had someone to protect, she finally found the motivation to improve herself. She fought evil spirits across the land, became the supreme Ghost King, exposed the person secretly trying to harm her wife, and swore to do anything for her.
Later, when her wife was tricked into signing a contract to appear on a dating show, Wei Zhiren immediately covered her face and followed her. She had planned to pose as a staff member and secretly sabotage the show, but through a series of mishaps, she ended up as one of the guests.
As soon as the show began, people started speculating and gossiping about Wei Zhiren's concealed appearance. Then, by chance, she appeared on camera with her real face, and was immediately dragged into the trending topics, where she endured all kinds of vile personal attacks.
Among all the beautiful women, she was so ugly she made people sick.
Just as public opinion turned against her, with everyone insulting her and telling her to leave the show, Jiang Qingci posted a message on every platform, along with a photo.
[My beloved is the most beautiful]
In the photo, Jiang Qingci had Wei Zhiren pinned to the bed beneath her and was kissing the scar on Wei Zhiren's right cheek.
