Sweet, clear-headed girl with a wholesome exterior and a wild imagination × aloof heartthrob who knows exactly what he’s doing
-
In high school, Xingzhi had plenty of “secret crushes” to motivate herself to go to class.
Of course, her longest-lasting crush was Zhou Xingyan, the school’s universally acknowledged unattainable heartthrob.
She would sneak cookies into his desk, bring him ice water after PE, and take the long way around just to see his name on the honor roll.
When the pressure got to be too much, she even drew fan comics of herself and Zhou Xingyan.
-
After the college entrance exams, Xingzhi got into her dream university and was ready to put her fake crushes firmly behind her.
Who could have guessed that barely a few days into the new term, she would run into Zhou Xingyan at the classroom door?
They ended up in the same dating elective and, by a twist of fate, became practice partners.
They chatted, confessed their feelings, went on dates… They did everything couples were supposed to do.
Then came an in-class compatibility quiz. Xingzhi handed hers in with confidence, only to get a zero.
Zhou Xingyan thought of a certain rumor, and his face darkened instantly.
Xingzhi swallowed. “If I told you it was all a misunderstanding, would you believe me…?”
-
Later, Zhou Xingyan happened upon a sketchbook.
In Xingzhi’s comics, he was incredibly talented and tireless, always pinning her down and going at it again and again.
Well, then.
She couldn’t even fake a crush without imagining sleeping with him.
He quietly memorized every detail, then put them all into practice one by one.
It took Xingzhi a while to realize what was going on.
#Wait, why is he exactly like the guy I drew? #
#Help, my comic has come to life! #
P.S. The characters aren’t perfect; everything in the story serves the main couple.
My next book is "More Than Spring". Please add it to your collection.
Gentle, flirtatious honor student × proud, cold-hearted young master from Beijing’s elite circles
Rekindled romance / bittersweet tension / mutual seduction / reunion after years apart
-
There was no one at Nanda University who didn’t know Pu Yunian.
A young master from Beijing’s elite circles: handsome and refined, proud and carefree, like a moon in the sky, impossible to touch or reach.
Zhu Chunyi first began to notice him in the fall semester of her sophomore year.
It was pouring that night. She stood in a corner, watching a girl Pu Yunian had rejected bite her lip and dash straight into the rain.
He didn’t even lift his eyes. Just like all the rumors about him said, he was cold and heartless.
She was about to leave when the man, head bowed as he cupped his hand to light a cigarette, suddenly looked up in her direction.
He had noticed her.
-
After that, their names came up again and again on the school forum.
One was a carefree young master, the other a quiet, reserved honor student.
At a glance, they had nothing to do with romance.
But no one knew that every Friday night she got into the car bound for a villa halfway up the mountain, whose owner was none other than Pu Yunian.
They kissed in the snow, watched shooting stars from a mountaintop, and crossed half the globe to welcome spring early.
Until she sent him a message:
“Pu Yunian, spring is almost over. This is where we end, too.”
-
Years later, they met again at a wedding.
Pu Yunian sat in the middle of the crowd, with a beautiful woman by his side, laughing and chatting as if he hadn’t noticed her.
It wasn’t until someone, tipsy, brought up their past that the table fell into utter silence.
He swirled his glass and looked up at her, his voice so calm it held not a trace of emotion. “That’s all in the past.”
Zhu Chunyi smiled and raised her glass from across the room. “You’re right, Young Master Pu.”
She looked down and drained her drink. It tasted bitter and astringent.
It was another rainy day.
She had just turned down a male colleague’s offer of help when a black SUV pulled up in front of her. She knew the license plate all too well.
She turned to leave.
The rear window rolled down.
“Get in.”
She didn’t move. Looking back with a polite smile, she said, “Didn’t you say it was all in the past, Young Master Pu?”
Pu Yunian lounged against the seat, one arm resting on the window. After a long pause, his gaze settled heavily on her face.
“Zhu Chunyi.”
Each word cut through the cold curtain of rain.
“You’re getting soaked, and it hurts me to see it. Is that enough?”
-
The bitter winter came to an end, and spring arrived.
Zhu Chunyi, may we be together year after year, through every season, not just spring.
