"An old man in the marketplace sold medicine, hanging a gourd at the front of his shop. He charged a fixed price, and every illness he treated was cured, nothing ever failed. Each day he earned tens of thousands in coins, which he gave to the poor, hungry, and freezing people in the market. When the market closed, he would leap into the gourd.
A man saw this from an upstairs window and found it strange. He went to visit the old man, who then invited him into the gourd. Inside was a magnificent jade hall, with fine wine and delicious food in abundance. The old man said, 'I am an immortal. I can cure every illness, drive away epidemics, and bring the dead back to life.'"
Xiao Yutang is the beloved disciple of the divine physician Xiao Xun.
For her miraculous skill and compassionate heart, the people of the martial world praise her as:
"Immortal of the Jade Hall"
