P.S.
1. Decisive Prince of Qi x ordinary woman who transmigrates
2. The heroine grows stronger: weak at first, strong later
3. One-on-one romance, both are each other's first and only, tragic ending
A celestial omen appeared: the moon eclipsed Venus.
I transmigrated to an age when five kingdoms vied for supremacy, a world filled with wailing refugees and piles of bones. Frightened and lost, I had no idea what to do. The first person I met was him, Prince Qi Yin of Qi.
In this strange land, he was the only star lighting my way.
Just like in every story about transmigration, I couldn't help falling in love with him.
But he was only kind to me because I came from the future. He wanted to learn the course of history from me, and use me to become the ultimate victor.
When I learned the truth, I escaped from the palace of Qi.
I had underestimated the dangers of this world. Without his protection, I couldn't survive even a single day.
He came charging to my rescue, sword in hand and covered in blood. His eyes were redder than the blood on his body as he pulled me into his arms, his heart pounding wildly.
In a hoarse voice, he cursed me fiercely: "Fu Wenyue, you're hopelessly stupid."
Qi was destined to lose the war, and Great Jing would unite the land.
I never told him how it would end.
Not until I caught the plague and could no longer get out of bed. He stayed outside my room, separated from me by a thin wooden door.
I was already weak, but my body still kept coughing against my will. He tried to push the door open, and I forced myself to stop him.
"If you dare take even one step inside, I'll kill myself right now."
The once decisive ruler of Qi stopped in his tracks, frightened by a sentence so faint he could barely hear it.
"Haven't you always wanted to know who would win the struggle between the five kingdoms?"
A fit of violent coughing broke up my words. I struggled to finish, then felt sweetness in my throat and spat out a mouthful of blood.
He had asked me many times before, and I had never told him.
Now that I was ready to tell him, he kept pleading from outside the door.
"Wenyue, don't say it."
I looked toward the door, as if I could see him through the wood. A smile rose on my pale face as I left him my final lie.
"Qi Yin, that person is you.
"You'll defeat Jing and become the ruler of the world. You'll be an emperor for the ages, remembered for all time."
"Qi Yin, a thousand years from now, I'll meet you in the history books."
Theme: If defeat is our destined ending, I'd rather take the gamble with you.
