On debut night, Lu Li, an obscure country girl, was eliminated after a rigged vote let another contestant take her spot. In a fit of rage, she fainted in front of the entire nation.
When she woke up again, Lu Li had transmigrated into the past and become a destitute orphan from a once-wealthy family. Her parasitic younger brother walked all over her:
"Sis, your rabbit broke one of my bones. Give me 200..."
Her aristocratic relatives, eyeing the family fortune, tried to coax and bully her into submission:
"A woman's place is at home, taking care of her husband and children. Let us spend your money for you!"
Lu Li, having seen through it all, finally snapped. She kicked her useless brother to the curb, punched her scheming relatives, and used the inheritance her parents left her to open a museum dedicated to intangible cultural heritage peony porcelain.
Business is slow? She forms a boy band in ancient times to sing and dance for publicity, and even develops idol merchandise with collaborative designs! The capital's noblewomen flock by the thousands to snap up her porcelain.
No connections? The old-fashioned, impeccably righteous assistant minister of the Court of Judicial Review says:
"This is outrageous!"
"A disgrace to propriety!"
Yet later, he meekly becomes Lu Li's devoted husband, secretly pulling strings for her:
"Lili, I'll do your laundry..."
"Didn't you say you wanted to enter the palace selection? Give me a chance to recommend you."
"Step on me to get ahead, Lili..."
A face-slapping power fantasy, getting rich through business, and a story about training a devoted dog. Watch Lu Li go from a couch potato to the peak of success!
