I Became Cannon Fodder in an Apocalypse Novel, and the Villain and I Got Our Happy Ending

Qin Shan transmigrated into a post-apocalyptic zombie novel. Her original character was a cannon-fodder supporting female character in a survival team: troublesome, stupid, and sanctimonious. Whenever something happened, all she could do was scream and hold everyone back. She was the most hated character, and the first to die.

After waking up, she happened to find a mother and daughter who seemed to have been bitten outside the temporary fortress. According to the plot, Qin Shan was supposed to randomly grab a teammate, wail and guilt-trip them: "Go save them, now!"

The teammate she grabbed was the ruthless, taciturn villainous powerhouse from the original story. Qin Shan had once caused him to lose a leg, and in the end, he was the one who killed her.

Under the disgusted gazes of everyone around her, Qin Shan let go of the powerhouse and walked toward the gate alone. When someone asked what she was doing, she replied coldly with two words: "Saving them."

Qin Shan, who everyone thought was sure to die a horrible death, actually rescued the mother and daughter from a horde of zombies.

What happened next astonished everyone even more. With her personality transformed, Qin Shan was calm and wise, with combat skills through the roof. She was like a human meat grinder, clearing the way. Under her command, her teammates captured one defensive position after another across the city.

But Qin Shan and the villainous powerhouse grew even colder toward each other. Some people had seen them fighting in a deserted place. As they fought, they started kissing; as they kissed, Qin Shan kicked the powerhouse hard in his injured leg. He dropped to his knees and couldn't get back up, yet laughed so hard his whole body shook.

Everyone else: We can't afford to mess with them. We really can't.

Qin Shan had a secret. The first time she went to save the mother and daughter, she had actually been infected and turned into a zombie. For some reason, she had kept her humanity and reason.

Unfortunately, the villain Yun Shifeng was a complete psycho. He had severe skin hunger and separation anxiety disorder. She was the unlucky target of his episodes.

Her secret could be exposed at any moment!

Later, Qin Shan left the team and went solo. Just as she was ruling over the zombie hordes, the big villain Yun Shifeng actually came after her, leaving her no choice but to keep pretending to be human.

Qin Shan didn't need to eat or drink, but Yun Shifeng followed her through hardship without a single complaint. While begging her to cuddle, he said with a pained look, "Shanshan, being with me has made you suffer."

Qin Shan felt terribly guilty. Yun Shifeng gave a sly smile. "You've put up with all this for so long and still haven't even gotten to eat a person. You must be exhausted."
