My completed novel next door is called "I'm Putting Together a Daoist Partner, Help Me Chop Them Down Already." I also have a silly, short, sweet story called "The Hehuan Sect Disciple Who Cried Her Eyes Out Over Her Thesis." Feel free to bookmark those, and the author too ^v^
------------Novel Blurb------------
Chen Yunchu moved into a new place to escape harassment, and accidentally connected to her neighbor's Wi-Fi.
That evening, when she settled in to stream a movie as usual, the colorful animal documentary suddenly changed into a video showing off someone's physique. The person in the video was none other than the neighbor she'd briefly met earlier that day.
Chen Yunchu's fair, rosy face burned red. Maybe he'd cast it to the wrong screen.
But the same thing happened for three days in a row, and Chen Yunchu was forced to admire him for three nights straight.
Unable to take it anymore, Chen Yunchu hesitated for a long time before finally working up the courage to knock on her neighbor's door. "Um... could you maybe not keep... doing that at night?"
His stern brows and eyes carried a hint of irritation. He looked as if she'd just woken him, and the sidelong glance he gave her made her legs tense up.
He leaned against the doorframe with his arms crossed, his tone casual. "What is it?"
Chen Yunchu already found it hard to bring up, and her fierce-looking neighbor scared the words right out of her. She stammered, "It's nothing, nothing. It's just a little noisy."
Later, work brought Chen Yunchu and her neighbor closer. After Little New Year's Eve, she was surprised to find that the videos showing off his physique, which had been the same every time, were now different every day.
Naked pole dancing, opening bottles with his abs... His endless parade of outrageously seductive stunts dazzled her. The content got more provocative by the day, stirring up a heat in Chen Yunchu that even an iced drink couldn't quell.
He Zhihuai had known he was getting a new neighbor, but he never expected it to be Chen Yunchu, the girl he'd secretly loved in high school.
Chen Yunchu had changed a lot. When she knocked on his door, her eyes were dewy and clear as a newborn fawn's.
The corner of his mouth lifted. Chen Yunchu, you walked right into my trap.
On Little New Year's Eve, Chen Yunchu got drunk and lay on top of him, mumbling about what she wanted in a partner. When he went to cast a video, he finally realized that the casting glitch that had shown as successful but produced no picture all this time wasn't a device problem. He'd been casting to Chen Yunchu's home.
He Zhihuai narrowed his phoenix eyes, his thoughts turning over and over.
From then on, he carefully filmed videos every day to match Chen Yunchu's ideal partner, putting them on an endless loop.
Then he turned the tables, reaching out to stop Chen Yunchu as she tried to flee. "I hear you've been peeping at me every day?"
He Zhihuai schemed his way closer to Chen Yunchu, step by step, peeling back her thick, snail-like shell until he finally got to savor her sweetness.
1. A sweet story with no angst
2. Characters: an insecure, sensitive, slow-to-warm-up little snail x a fierce wolfhound who's sharp-tongued but soft-hearted
3. The male lead looks a little fierce when expressionless, but it's not directed at the female lead. Inside, he's over the moon whenever he sees her.
Theme: Break free from timidity and live as your true self
