The Gorgeous Hopeless Romantic Has Gone Soft Again

Qiao Yu is hopelessly lovesick. He's soft-hearted and very good at convincing himself that everything will work out.

After years with Huo Zhen, Qiao Yu hasn't gotten a cent from him, yet he's given Huo his whole heart, letting him trample on it again and again.

Everyone around Huo Zhen jokes that he's lucky: his wife at home keeps the home fires burning while he has affairs outside. Even when Qiao Yu catches Huo Zhen on dates with his lovers again and again, a few soothing words are enough to make him believe there won't be a next time.

Huo Zhen thinks so too. Until one day, after making Qiao Yu angry yet again, he orders a bouquet as usual and goes to apologize, only to find Qiao Yu with his arm around someone else's neck, gently kissing the other person's lips just as he used to soften toward Huo. In an awkward but sincere voice, Qiao Yu says, "Then promise me, there won't be a next time, okay?"

Reading guide:

1. The top is genuinely a scumbag at first, and only starts to mend his ways after he discovers there are others in the picture.

2. The bottom is genuinely lovesick, but he falls in love with everyone. He's soft-hearted and easily sweet-talked into losing his head.

3. It should be one-on-one. Both are sexually experienced and both have been unfaithful.

4. So they're both scumbags, really. The top is openly awful, while the bottom is awful without realizing it. The author thinks they're perfect for each other.
