“Are you looking for Researcher Xu?”
“Mm.” Wen Qi pushed up her sunglasses. “I’m his ex.”
“Oh, but the researcher said his ex died seven years ago. He’s still mourning her like a widower.”
[Looks like a sweet, innocent flower but is actually emotionally detached, scummy woman A x aloof and devoted at first, then gloomy and obsessive, mermaid O]
Wen Qi found a mermaid who had been turned into an omega in her family’s basement.
He was aloof and fragile, with damp silver-white hair hanging over his chest. In the breeding tank, a beautiful ocean-blue tail swayed beneath him.
One look told her this was another mess caused by her idiot older brother.
Wen Qi lowered her eyes and turned to leave as if nothing had happened.
Then she heard a loud bang behind her.
The little mermaid had smashed the fish tank. His cheeks were flushed, his lips tightly pressed together, and his eyes glistening as he looked at her.
He was in heat.
The modified omega’s first heat hit hard, and he had no idea what to do.
He wrapped his arms around Wen Qi, his lips brushing clumsily against her gland, like a fish dying of thirst.
...The little mermaid gradually learned to turn his tail into legs.
Later, the powerful family was struck by sudden disaster overnight.
Wen Qi fled into the night with the little mermaid.
Beneath the brilliant fireworks in the distance, Wen Qi cupped his beautiful, cool cheek:
“I wish you a bright future, Xu Suizhao. You have a name now.”
“Run. Forget me.”
Wen Qi waved to him, then ran back, her black hair streaming like a kite in the wind.
“Boom!”
Xu Suizhao’s pupils trembled as the entire high-rise exploded before his eyes.
-
Wen Qi met the little mermaid again at a major product launch.
While working as a sleepy security guard at the entrance, she looked up and met a pair of eyes shimmering like water.
He wore a luxurious suit, his silver-white hair falling over his shoulders, noble and aloof.
When their eyes met, his vivid lips curled slightly.
“What’s wrong, Researcher?” one of his companions asked respectfully.
“Oh,” Xu Suizhao said, looking away, his expression cool and distant. “She looks like my wife, who’s been dead for seven years.”
Much later, in a cramped, gloomy rental apartment.
Damp silver-white hair tangled with black.
He pressed his back to the wall and tilted his head up to kiss her, lost in the moment as he thrust his hips toward Wen Qi.
The researcher who now drew everyone’s attention had red-rimmed eyes. Panting, he arched his neck to expose his trembling gland, his gaze filled with a surging, twisted obsession:
“Mark me.”
“Make sure we never part, even in death.”
