A Company-Paid Trip to See You

Every itinerary is planned to follow in your footsteps.

Lu Yuanshi first met Xia Jin on a late summer night.

He was leading an educational tour, and the tourists in his group were ballet students. By day, they explored Europe's local customs and culture. At night, they attended one performance after another.

Though Lu Yuanshi was highly educated, he considered himself a plain, unsophisticated man and simply couldn't appreciate something as refined as ballet. He would get drowsy at every performance.

On the final night of the tour, they went to the Royal Opera House in London to see The Nutcracker. Just as he settled into a comfortable position to rest, Xia Jin appeared as the Prince, instantly capturing his attention.

He knew ballet was beautiful, but this was the first time he had truly felt its beauty.

But the tour was rushed, and Lu Yuanshi couldn't stop to linger. He flew back to Shanghai.

The new school term was starting, and as a university lecturer, he no longer had time to lead tours.

Lu Yuanshi thought their next meeting would be in winter.
