Upcoming story. Here's a blurb for now, though it might change later.
Currently focusing on My Soft and Cute Little Merman Is Actually Super "Fierce"
Blurb:
The hundredth year of the New Human Era was also the fifteenth year of the zombie outbreak. The number of human survivors worldwide had fallen to less than ten percent of the global population before the apocalypse.
Bai Ge, lazing about in his safe house, figures that the zombie hordes outside and humanity's dwindling survival rate have nothing to do with him watching cheesy old CEO dramas in his safe house.
Absolutely nothing to do with each other!
The biggest problems Bai Ge faces each day are what to eat for this meal and the next, and whether to read a novel or start another show after finishing the one he's watching. When he gets especially bored, he goes outside to race zombies and get some exercise.
Until one day, while out for his usual stroll, he spots a man passed out in a pit, having lost a lot of blood.
Bai Ge suddenly remembers the classic scene from an old melodramatic TV show: Never pick up a man from the roadside, or your home will be destroyed and your family ruined!
No way! He hasn't finished his show yet! And there's still roasted chicken in the freezer!
So Bai Ge closes his eyes and turns around, only to run straight into a horde of zombies!
Bai Ge: "You've got to be kidding me! I just went out for a walk and decided not to save someone. Do all these zombies really need to race me at once?"
Zombies: ...@$#&... Raaah! (They don't understand.)
Bai Ge spins around, jumps into the pit, hoists the man over his shoulder, and runs. Fine, he'll save him!
The man, Xun Yang, is shaken awake on his shoulder, only to be blindsided by a height-restriction bar and knocked out again.
Xun Yang: ... (Please buy me peanuts, thanks.)
Bai Ge: Does anyone else get it? I picked up a man on the way home, and now he's going to get my safe house destroyed!

As captain of the Human Safe Base's First Squad, Xun Yang leads his team wherever the zombies are thickest, especially to places where ordinary zombies have evolved into mutant zombies.
This time, Xun Yang was simply on a routine mission when he encountered a rarely seen mutant zombie horde. Not only was he separated from his team, he was also rescued by a survivor with no common sense about daily life.
He didn't get bitten to death by zombies, but nearly died at the hands of a fellow human.
What kind of person soaks an injured patient in a massive dose of tranquilizers?
Using the last of his strength, Xun Yang takes out some medicine and gauze and says, "Pour it on the wound, then use the gauze to..." before passing out again.
When he wakes up, Xun Yang can tell that his wounds have stopped bleeding. But he's been turned into a one-eyed mummy...
Xun Yang: ...
The culprit, with an entirely reasonable explanation: "You told me to wrap you up."

Ever since the day he could remember, Bai Ge had lived alone in a safe house and grown up by himself. He never imagined he might one day make it to a human safe base alive and meet so many fellow survivors.
He just had no idea living with so many people would be this much trouble!
Every day, he has to go out at a set time to look for fuel and food, and deal with all kinds of emotional interactions between people. Staying in his safe house and watching dramas and reading novels was much more comfortable.
Bai Ge sighs up at the sky, longing for the days when he scraped by outside, free and unrestrained, when everything was so wonderful.
It's all the fault of that man he picked up. His safe house still ended up being overrun by zombies.
A new day begins with the team captain drawing lots in the residential area to choose people for the field team.
Captain: "Bai Ge, you're going out tomorrow. Don't be late!"
Bai Ge agrees, then vanishes the next day.
So every morning, the name "Bai Ge" becomes everyone's alarm clock. Most people are used to it by now, but the poor captain's voice gets worse by the day.
Meanwhile, Bai Ge is sleeping in on the little bed he built himself when Xun Yang suddenly barges in, scoops him off the bed, and carries him over his shoulder.
Bai Ge: "What the hell! Who are you? Put me down!"
Xun Yang: "From now on, you're registered under my team. You have to report on time every day, or I'll come find you myself."
Bai Ge: "I %@$$...~>" (He swears viciously.)
As the morning sun slowly rises, the missing Gesang flowers will bloom again.

Please note:
1. Zombies, mutant zombies, the daily grind of fighting zombies, day-to-day life, scraping by to survive, a somewhat equally matched pairing, and a slow-burn romance.
2. The bottom is an easygoing, lazy slacker who gives up on life. Before meeting the top, he lives alone and has a flawed personality. At first, the top cares only about fighting zombies. Later, he follows the bottom everywhere, but he's not mindless.
3. The protagonists will grow. After all, it's the apocalypse. They won't be consumed by romance, and there are no saintly characters.
4. The start date is undecided. The blurb will probably change later. The main thing is, I'm bad at writing blurbs.
Theme: Happiness
