[Dusk, the sea, and a banquet. Laughter rang in his ears, and he once thought this giant whale would sail freely forever.]
[He is a precious species on the verge of extinction, with antlers, sheep ears, wings, and a cat's tail.]
[An uncontrollable ability to foresee the future, at the cost of losing parts of his body, such as his sight, hearing, sense of smell, and limbs...]

Mer is an eccentric ship's doctor. His "regular patients" include, but are not limited to:
[His attending physician and captain, Marco]
[The frequent patient in the infirmary, his youngest brother Ace]
[His good friend and roommate, Thatch]
[Izo, whom he had a huge misunderstanding with when they first met]
One day, he unexpectedly learned the future and saw [Thatch being killed by Teach], witnessing a tragedy.
He saw the fall of this white whale, and the wretched state of his family, barely clinging to life.
The culprit behind all this tragedy rose to power, stepping over the corpses of his former companions.
He hated him, but not completely.
He couldn't connect the traitor who would kill everyone in the future with the simple-minded, honest Teach of the present.
So he decided to test him.
But the result disappointed him.
He resolved to change the future, kill Teach, the culprit behind it all, and then take his own life.
But to his surprise, after he killed Teach, something calling itself System awakened, and the world restarted.
Teach was alive again, and had been tagged as [An important plot character, cannot be attacked].
He could only look for another way to save his family and save the Moby Dick.
The Mobius strip slowly turns.
This is the beginning, and also the end.
"Reading Guide"
★ Heavy on the angst, but it has a happy ending. Read with caution.
★ The first run is fun, with a little bittersweet angst. The second run has a lethal dose of tiny knife fragments. That was totally intentional, I just didn't mean to do it (?
★ The protagonist refers to himself as "we." He has pink hair and pink eyes, shark teeth, black antlers and sheep ears, as well as black wings and a cat's tail. He's a boy (cue an intense electric guitar solo).
Theme: I will save the people I cherish, again and again
