I'm Already a Max-Level Villain, and You Want Me to Save the World?

One day, Shen Bochi took an afternoon nap. Half-asleep, he heard a mechanical voice in his mind: "System connecting... Connection failed... Reconnecting... Connection successful!"

"Congratulations, Host. You have activated the Savior System. To save the world, please do your best to complete... Hm? Host, how did you become a max-level villain?"

Shen Bochi opened his eyes. "Your System is pretty badly delayed. It's been ten years already."

System: "????"

Shen Bochi boredly skimmed through the System's tasks:

"Become close friends with the fanatical pontiff who will one day create countless evil, uncanny beings and unleash monsters everywhere. Purify his thoughts and rid him of his irrational fanaticism."

"Befriend the aristocratic prince who holds power, strength, and wealth in his hands and will one day become the cruelest tyrant in history. Become his close friend and plant the seeds of kindness, equality, and respect in his heart."

"Become sworn brothers with the rebel leader who will one day become the Federation's greatest rebel and drag it into war, devastating half the Federation. Reform the violence in his heart and make him give up on starting a war."

Shen Bochi picked up his phone and looked at the unread messages.

Pontiff: "My dearest, my one and only, my supreme god, when will you once again grant me the chance to meet you in my dreams?"

Tyrant: "My beloved, revered, and worshipped teacher, when will you come to the palace to see me? I miss you, I long for you, I yearn for you."

Rebel leader: "My good brother, please join us! I'm willing to hand over my entire position to you, as long as you'll lead us and become our noble king. I'm begging you, begging you, begging you!"

Shen Bochi looked back at the System. ":)"

System: "..."

System: "Ah! There's still one task you haven't completed. You were supposed to adopt the villain who'll have the strongest combat ability in the future. He should still be at the orphanage... right?"

Shen Bochi leaned back in his recliner. "Not going. It's been ten years. The kid's already grown up."

But then, one day, while out for a walk, Shen Bochi stumbled across the future villain with the strongest combat ability.

The villain, already nineteen, was covered in wounds and on the verge of death, prickly all over. Like a poor little hedgehog ready to bristle, he was taken home by Shen Bochi and looked after.

At last, his wounds healed. Just as Shen Bochi was planning to send him on his way, the little villain climbed into his bed.

Shen Bochi: "?"

Jiang Liao: "You saved my life, so... I'll repay you with my own."
