With her arms full of money and a coveted official post in sight, Ye Wuqing happily watched the suspect across the table, who was covering his mouth as he suppressed a cough. After catching his breath, the suspect asked in a hoarse voice, “Do you… know who I am?” Of course she knew… he was rich! Otherwise, why would she have kept him locked up for so long? But somehow, those words landed Ye Wuqing in the imperial palace, where she became the eldest prince’s attendant secretary??? Not only had her official post gone up in smoke, she could only watch the bewildered, fragile young divine official, as pure as an immortal and caged like a crane, wander around the palace, while she had to eat “imperial cuisine” every day. Help, this is worse than dying! All along the way, if the meal was free, Ye Wuqing opened her mouth and ate; if anyone asked her for money, she flipped the table. Who could have guessed that every man in the capital would play dirty and refuse to follow the rules?
