A foolish, lonely Omega wife who's been celibate for years X a lively young Alpha college student
Qiao Wan is an Omega from a remote mountain village, a dropout who never finished primary school. He's not very bright, but he has breathtaking beauty.
Forced to marry a husband in a vegetative state, he diligently cares for him every day. And so Qiao Wan spends years living as a wife in name only.
He thought his whole life would be lonely and empty like this, until he met the neighbor who had just moved in.
Sheng Chi, an Alpha college student about his age.
Sheng Chi unclogs his toilet, fixes the pipes, changes light bulbs, and opens bottles for him. He also teaches him to read and write, takes him horseback riding, skiing, and hiking, and even brings him to audit classes and skip lectures at college, giving him a taste of the youth and freedom he should have at his age.
Qiao Wan gradually falls for him. Sheng Chi kisses his lips and presses him at every turn, demanding that he give him a proper title. But bound by the shackles of morality, Qiao Wan can't make up his mind, until Sheng Chi discovers he's married!
Sheng Chi ties him to the bed, and the Alpha's frenzied pheromones nearly drown him.
In the throes of passion, he vaguely hears Sheng Chi say, "So what if you have a husband? He's in a vegetative state... I can make you feel better than he can, right?"
Later, Sheng Chi lies on top of him and begs, "Wanwan, when are you going to divorce him? I want to be your husband, too."
Qiao Wan doesn't know what to do. They keep their relationship secret until one day, while caring for her husband, Qiao Wan accidentally throws up in front of her mother-in-law.
Bonus Scene 1:
Sheng Chi: "A day as husband and wife earns a hundred days of affection. Wanwan, if we do it a hundred times, we'll have been together longer than you and your husband were married. We're the real couple!"
Qiao Wan clutches his pregnant belly, on the verge of tears.
"I quit. I want to go back to the mountains and herd sheep."
Bonus Scene 2:
Sheng Chi holds Qiao Wan in his arms and guides his hand as he teaches him to write.
Qiao Wan turns to ask, "What character is this?"
Sheng Chi presses a kiss to his lips. "It's Wanwan's name, and it's also the wan in 'night.' Everyone's name has a meaning. What does yours mean, Wanwan?"
"My parents said I was born at night, so they named me Qiao Wan. I have a younger sister who was born in the morning, so they named her Qiao Zao."
Sheng Chi: "..."
Pheromones: Lavender x Volcanic Ash
Reader's Guide:
1. The shou and his 'original spouse' are not legally married, and they aren't in love with each other.
2. Both are each other's first love. The gong is 22, and the shou is 20.
3. This isn't pure fluff; there will be angst. Neither lead is perfect, and both have some moral flaws. Please don't read if that bothers you.
