Ning Shiyu grew up unloved by both parents. Thanks to his handsome face, he was sent to work in show business at the age of eight, and was plagued by injuries and illness while still young.

Just as he finally started to make it, he cut ties with his parasitic parents, only to inexplicably end up in another world. His years of savings were wiped out.

Ning Shiyu: ...Let the world burn!

After working under the table for a few days, Ning Shiyu gloomily counted his wages, which weren't even enough to buy medicine. As he stared sadly up at the sky, a man appeared in front of him as if he'd fallen from the heavens.

The man had a handsome face and a stern air, but he didn't seem very bright. He said:

“Slap me and I'll give you thirty million. Would you...”

Ning Shiyu's eyes lit up, and he slapped him without hesitation.

The man froze for a full three minutes before squeezing out: “May you always be healthy, always be happy, and always be joyful.”

Ning Shiyu thought he'd just met a lunatic. That is, until he was forced by poverty to return to his old line of work and went to an audition, where he spotted a familiar face among the judges.

Only then did he learn that the man was Xie Lin, the hottest actor around. That day, he had simply been taking part in a prank show with a friend and had accidentally approached the wrong person.

That day, tens of millions of viewers in the livestream watched as a clear handprint appeared on the actor's face.

Knowing he'd offended Xie Lin, Ning Shiyu sensibly tried to stay out of his way. But the man seemed to still hold a grudge. First he complained that Ning Shiyu was too thin and insisted on watching him eat. Then he kept interrupting Ning Shiyu whenever he talked with the other actors. And he was always at his side like a ghost, forbidding him to stay up reading scripts...

Ning Shiyu was fed up and humbly asked a senior for advice.

“Your acting is so good, and you're young. He must be afraid you'll surpass him!”

The senior delivered a decisive verdict, and Ning Shiyu saw the light.

Until one day, after an accident, he lay listlessly in Xie Lin's arms. The man's eyes were red as he begged him softly not to fall asleep.

Wait, wasn't something wrong here?

A new face suddenly appeared in the long-quiet entertainment industry, landing a major role as soon as he entered the business.

Audiences assumed he was just a pretty face who'd bought his way onto the set, and doubts poured in like snowflakes:

[With a face like that, would you believe he's talented, or that I'm the First Emperor of Qin?]

[He hasn't even debuted and he's already using Xie Lin to drum up publicity. He must have some serious connections. Please don't use your awful acting to assault my eyes!]

Not long after, the movie was released.

Everyone had just one reaction: their faces hurt.

Ning Shiyu became famous so quickly that people started spreading rumors that he was being kept by a rich sponsor. A notoriously low-profile wealthy family produced a paternity test, and the rumors fell apart.

Later, a livestream malfunctioned.

Everyone heard Xie Lin's restrained panting as he softly coaxed someone: “Baby, that's not how you slap someone. Want me to teach you...?”
