An alternate-world sweet romance
When Jiang Qingniao was three, he lost the ability to distinguish colors. For seventeen years, his world was a gray-and-white film playing day and night.
At twenty, Jiang Qingniao met Lai Ning in a car accident, and color returned to his world.
Hoping to cure himself, Jiang Qingniao tried to get close to Lai Ning, who mistook his attempts for a romantic pursuit. Ever adaptable, Jiang Qingniao decided to play along and began pretending to court Lai Ning.
As they spend time together, they compete, scheme against each other, and bicker nonstop.
Unfortunately, Jiang Qingniao is all enthusiasm for three days, then nothing for two. Frustrated by his lack of follow-through, Lai Ning decides to win himself over instead.
The first meeting:
Lai Ning: I'm not gay.
The second meeting:
Lai Ning: I'm only taking you home because it's on my way.
The third time, at his own home:
Lai Ning: Kissing you was a hallucination. Don't have wet dreams at my place.
Jiang Qingniao: I want to get cured.
Lai Ning: You like me.
Jiang Qingniao: Making the most of what I have.
Lai Ning: You can't live without me.
Theme: May you find peace beneath my eaves, while the bluebird sings free.
