A neurotic, performatively aloof gong who wins himself over & a gifted, taciturn shou who knows when to yield and when to stand firm
When Jiang Qingniao was three, he lost the ability to distinguish colors. For seventeen years, his world was a black-and-white film playing day and night.
At the age of twenty, Jiang Qingniao met Lai Ning in a car accident, and color returned to his world.
So, in an attempt to cure himself, Jiang Qingniao tried to get close to Lai Ning, who mistook his intentions for a romantic pursuit. Flexible and willing to go with the flow, Jiang Qingniao simply played along and began pretending to court Lai Ning.
As they spent time together, the two constantly tried to outdo each other, schemed against one another, and traded barbs without end.
Unfortunately, Jiang Qingniao was inconsistent, working at it for three days and slacking off for two. Frustrated by his lack of follow-through, Lai Ning decided to convince himself that Jiang Qingniao was in love with him.
The first meeting:
Lai Ning: I'm not gay.
The second encounter:
Lai Ning: I'm just taking you home because it's on my way.
The third time, at his own home:
Lai Ning: Kissing you was a hallucination. Don't have wet dreams in my house.
Jiang Qingniao: I want to get better.
Lai Ning: You like me.
Jiang Qingniao: Making the most of what's available.
Lai Ning: You can't live without me.

It's very good-looking. It's not as good-looking as many of the mainstream themes nowadays. It's really deep, thoughtful, and logical. I've read it a lot on 🍅, but for this one, I can say that I'm a logic person and haven't noticed any major flaws. I haven't noticed any minor flaws either, but I can't say enough. Let's just pretend that there are still minor flaws. Anyway, it's very sweet. [Blow kiss] [Blow kiss] [Blow kiss]
