After the Vain Little Canary Crashed and Burned

Blurb:

Qin Yan had always known that the young man he kept was greedy for money, vain, worldly, and shrewd.

With one smooth-talking scheme after another, Liu Zhenyu got jewelry, luxury cars, a villa, and shares out of him. Whenever he asked, Qin Yan never refused.

He looked down on those beneath him and fawned on those above, was sharp-tongued and mean, and dreamed of rising to the top overnight and enjoying the rewards without lifting a finger.

But when he was with Qin Yan, he was sweet-talking and clingy, especially good at acting cute.

People gossiped that these pretty little canaries were experts at making their keepers happy, but never meant what they said. They were just playthings incapable of genuine affection.

Qin Yan laughed it off. The thing he had most of in his accounts was money, so Liu Zhenyu could take as much as he wanted.

As long as the young man stayed obediently by his side, that was all that mattered.

Until one day, he heard Liu Zhenyu making a phone call on the balcony. A man's voice came from the other end: "Before you go abroad, introduce me to Boss Qin, will you? I'm just about ready to find a new sugar daddy. We can find a chance..."

Qin Yan let go of what he was holding, and it hit the ground with an untimely thud.

He watched Liu Zhenyu turn around with a look of terror, then parted his thin lips. "No need to wait. Let's do it now."
