A Doomsday Novel

After the apocalypse began.

Xin Zhi became one of the lowest-ranking citizens in District A. With no special ability and too weak to fend for herself, she had always been alone.

Then one day, while searching for supplies, she found a snake in the ruins where zombies roamed.

A black mamba, gravely wounded and looking just as miserable as she was.

From then on, every night the snake would gaze at her with its cold, vertical pupils, coil its tail around her wrist and ankle, and run its red tongue over the corners of her eyes, the bridge of her nose, and her cheeks.

She knew that the pitiful little snake was gradually learning to trust her and depend on her.

But she didn't know...

It was actually Li Ling's spirit form.

And Li Ling... was the name of the highest-ranking executive in the human central city.

※Reading notes:

1. A sweet romance.

2. Fictional setting, with heaps of author-created details. Please don't take it as reality, okay? qwq

3. A self-indulgent story written to satisfy my own tastes. The title and blurb are still being polished, and I'll decide the point of view before I start posting.

Theme: "Courage is humanity's anthem."
