Romantic Inclinations

When Zhou Yinran was thirteen, a boy suddenly came to live with her family.

The youth stood tall and straight, with refined features. Wearing a white shirt washed until it was creased, he stood in the light, smiling faintly as he called her, "Yinran."

In that moment, Zhou Yinran thought she had met an angel.

Her heart pounded.

-

Gu Xun was the child of an old friend of Zhou's father. His parents had died, so the Zhou family took him in.

For years afterward, Zhou Yinran and Gu Xun were inseparable. The whole social circle started saying that Gu Xun was the Zhou family's child bridegroom for Zhou Yinran.

Perhaps unable to bear the rumors, Gu Xun left the Zhou family when she was eighteen, no matter how hard Zhou Yinran tried to make him stay. After that, there was no news of him.

The love Zhou Yinran had kept hidden in her heart was scattered by the wind.

Two years later, they met again at a banquet.

Gu Xun had become a hotshot in the business world. He had trampled her nominal fiance underfoot, his gaze dark and ruthless, his fingertips stained with blood.

As the tall man walked toward her step by step, Zhou Yinran trembled in fear, her voice soft and shaky. "Big brother..."

"Yinran."

Gu Xun bent down and buried his face against her neck, nuzzling her with longing. "Big brother's hand hurts."

"Could you... kiss big brother again, like you used to?"

Perhaps it was already decided from the moment we first met.

All my romance and love belong to you alone.
