A Fleeting Heartbeat

Wen Feng and Lin Yu were born to be enemies.

They came from equally illustrious families and were equally beautiful. Every time they met, it was a fierce battle, and neither would give an inch.

Everyone thought they hated each other as much as they seemed to.

Only they knew that, in corners where no one could see, they had once kissed passionately in the dark, wrapped up in each other.

They were together for three years, but in the end, even their love couldn't stand up to time.

Wen Feng left for another country without a word. Lin Yu spent a year getting over the heartbreak of being dumped. Then she went to a bar with friends, only to be drugged and spend the night with someone.

-

The next morning, Lin Yu stared at the familiar face beside her, lost in thought.

"Wen Feng? What are you doing here!"

"A-Yu."

Wen Feng propped himself up, his half-lidded eyes languid, and kissed her cheek. "It's been a year. Are you still mad?"

He drew her into his arms and nibbled her earlobe just as he had the night before.

"Miss, when are you going to make our relationship official?"

Lin Yu: ?!
