After transmigrating to a new world and becoming a member of an illegal organization, Yano Ritsu feels like there's no hope left for his life.
Worse yet, why does this organization have so many undercover agents? His colleagues spend every day trying to root them out, and they've started looking at everyone with sinister suspicion. Something is seriously off.
Yano Ritsu can't figure it out. Surely an organization with this many undercover agents would have been dismantled by the authorities long ago. Then he thinks of one possibility:
"First, I'm not an undercover agent. Second, I don't think the organization has that many undercover agents. Finally, I want to report Gin for abusing his authority and branding everyone an undercover agent. He's using this to purge his rivals from the organization, and he must be plotting to betray us!"
Yano Ritsu, code-named "Godfather," is a member of the same operations unit as Gin, with a 100 percent mission success rate. They say that whenever he takes on a mission, the target dies soon afterward, and then a culprit always appears, weeping as they confess to the crime, perfectly concealing his tracks.
The Whiskey Trio has asked around about Yano Ritsu plenty of times, but everyone else is always tight-lipped. Then one day, Gin introduces the three of them to Yano Ritsu.
At first sight of them, Yano Ritsu raises his eyelids and says lazily, "One of you three is definitely an undercover agent. If you come forward on your own, I might spare your life."
Gin: "...What's your reason?"
"There are three of them. I'll take a gamble that one of them is an undercover agent!"
It's confirmed. He's not the Godfather. He's just a delusional teenager.
