After the Young Master Abandoned His Servant

[Hot-tempered young master x lovestruck, devoted slave]

As the second son of the Liu family of Jianling, Liu Xuenian has been treated like royalty since birth. He's a notoriously arrogant and rude wastrel.

He's had a secret since childhood: his dreams can predict the future, and they've never been wrong.

One day, Liu Xuenian has another dream. He sees that his newly acquired slave will transform into a prince who was lost to the imperial family. Meanwhile, disaster will befall the Liu family, and he'll debase himself to beg that slave for help.

Liu Xuenian: "..."

Ha! That's utterly ridiculous!!!

Beg a slave for forgiveness?

Absolutely ridiculous!

The dream makes Liu Xuenian even more displeased with the slave. He beats and berates him at the drop of a hat, alternating slaps with sweet rewards and training him like a dog.

On the day the slave is recognized and reclaimed by his family, Liu Xuenian removes his chains and pats his face contemptuously. "You're free. Happy?"

He has already resolved the crisis facing the Liu family, so there's no way Liu Xuenian will need to beg him for help. From now on, they'll each go their own way and stay out of each other's business.

But the slave isn't happy.

His eyes widen in astonishment. He grabs the young master's wrist, raises it, and demands,

"Young master, are you just going to abandon me like this?"

"Obviously. You should leave."

"You said you liked me and would marry me."

"Idiot. Of course I was lying."

"...Then what am I to you?"
