The Second Year of OA Equality

In the year 2573 of the Galactic Calendar, the Empire and the rebels decided to reconcile. They announced that Alphas and Omegas would henceforth be equal, and that the two sides would join forces to reorganize the Star River Federation and defend against foreign enemies together.

General A had a distinguished record and a great reputation, but he was also a notorious straight-Alpha chauvinist. Deeply dissatisfied with gender equality, he could only seize the chance to find himself a traditional, virtuous, high-quality Omega before the matching policy was completely abolished.

But when the results came in...

A: Say that again. Who am I matched with?

Staff member: The rebel marshal. Oh, now he's the supreme commander of the Star Guard.

A: Why is the former rebel marshal in the matching system?

Staff member: Right, why?

A: I don't agree to this marriage!

Staff member: According to the matching rules, a compatibility score above 95% is considered a perfect match. The match can only be canceled if both parties refuse.

A: Well, that's fine. There's no way he'd agree.

Staff member: The commander has no objections. He asked when you want to get married.

A: What???

A: He agreed to the match? Why did he rebel in the first place?

Staff member: Right?

On their wedding day, the highest-ranking officer of the Star Guard of the Star River Federation returned from the front line, covered in blood and smoke. His mecha was still stained with blood that hadn't yet been cleaned off.

The man, wreathed in the smoke of battle, leaped from the cockpit with a radiant smile. He casually plucked a wildflower by the roadside and tossed it over.

"I heard you're not too pleased with me, my bride?"
