After Spending a Night of Passion with My White Moonlight

The year Liang Siling lost her job at 27, she decided to visit a traditional Chinese medicine clinic on a friend's recommendation, hoping to find relief from the insomnia that had been tormenting her.

The autumn air was crisp, and dry leaves rustled beneath her shoes outside the clinic.

She lifted her eyes, and a faint herbal scent drifted from inside, as austere as the woman in a white coat standing behind the counter.

Lu Qingdai, as Liang Siling's friend put it, was as straight as a telephone pole.

Cool and distant, with quiet eyes like a snow-covered mountain that never thawed.

Liang Siling, who had been secretly in love with Lu Qingdai throughout high school, had once thought so too.

But Liang Siling remembered the last time she couldn't sleep and went to a bar, only to run into Lu Qingdai.

With her black hair and thin lips, her sleeves rolled up and her long fingers wrapped around a glass, she seemed completely out of place there.

Yet she came over and asked, "Can't sleep?"

Liang Siling nodded.

She'd expected some sensible advice, but instead Lu Qingdai said, "My recommendation is that you sleep with me."

Liang Siling touched her itchy earlobe and stared at her in disbelief. "??? Quack!"

Lu Qingdai scoffed. "Who goes to a bar to get treated?"

Later, for one reason or another, Liang Siling still ended up in her room.

In just one week, the new finger cots she'd bought were reduced to an empty box.

Liang Siling was so exhausted every day that she fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow.

Lu Qingdai: "So, did I cure your insomnia or not?"

Liang Siling: "..."

Wait a minute

Aren't you straight?!
