Chuya Nakahara is the top executive of a mysterious organization. It's a huge organization, expanding to cover practically the entire country, and his rank is basically The Outcast, second to one and above tens of thousands.
Recently, he's also been sleeping badly, dreaming over and over about the moon breaking apart and feeling miserable.
To make matters worse, he's just been transferred to a remote area to take charge there. Who knows what the boss is thinking? Without him around, how is the boss supposed to survive with that awful constitution?
He really won't!
Not even a few days later, Chuya Nakahara received word that the boss had died unexpectedly and that he was to return and take over. Of course, he didn't believe it.
He rushed back without stopping, lifted the coffin lid, and found that, though the corpse was in a sorry state, it was clearly not the former boss.
He was pushed into the position of boss, but had the former boss really died? Everyone had seen him die with their own eyes.
A man claiming to be the former boss's older brother appeared out of nowhere in the boss's office, carrying the former boss's body.
He really was dead.
Then a Russian who claimed to have been the former boss's pen pal came to pay his respects. Had they really exchanged letters?
No idea. But as the two tried to stuff the former boss's body back into the coffin, they ran into each other outside the hidden room.
"What a coincidence, Boss Nakahara. I'm here to see my friend one last time. And you?"
"...Same here."
"After you, Boss."
"No, please go ahead, Mr. Dostoevsky. May I call you that?"
"Of course. I don't mind."
"Then please, go ahead!"
Whew, the annoying guy has been taken care of. But the dream keeps going. Though, does he really dream?
That wasn't a dream!
"You're our boss, sir. Please don't abandon us."
"Boss!"
Wait a minute, wait a minute. Why did he become the boss of two organizations?
Ugh, being the boss is hard!
