1. Xi Baiyan died in the car accident when he was eighteen.
As a ghost bound to the mortal world, he found himself in Sheng Zhuo's life at age thirty.
His longtime rival, the two of them always at odds and competing to come first in everything, was now sitting in a trash-strewn home, drowning his sorrows in alcohol and looking utterly wretched.
Even if he was nothing but a pile of bones, Xi Baiyan couldn't lose to his rival in an argument.
"Sheng Zhuo, so this is what you turned into by thirty. What a pathetic sight."
That would have been bad enough, but his rival heard him.
The thirty-year-old clutched a beer bottle and cried at his words.
Xi Baiyan had never seen Sheng Zhuo like this. "You're such a loser, and now you're crying because I said a couple of things? If you don't want me to mock you, then get your life together and show me what you're made of."
As soon as he finished speaking, Sheng Zhuo staggered to his feet and tried to hold him, but his arms closed on empty air.
For the first time in eleven years of rivalry, Xi Baiyan saw his archenemy collapse at his feet, sobbing uncontrollably as he said:
"Baiyan, I miss you so much."
2. Only later did Xi Baiyan learn that he had lived past nineteen.
But he had disappeared at thirty.
All that remained was a wisp of his soul, returned to Sheng Zhuo's side.
Whether he was alive or dead remained unknown...
