[Western Crossover] Safe House

A boy who grew up in the poorest part of Gotham wants to know who he really is.

He lives in a rundown house with four siblings who aren't related to him by blood and a pair of adoptive parents who couldn't care less. He saves up for a computer, steals things to sell for money, and sneaks into the police station to look through records, all just to find his birth parents.

But there are always images in his mind that don't belong to him. A white room, a surgical light, a voice he can't quite remember. And an unconvincing doctor who always appears just when he needs him most.

Rest assured, no characters will be bashed. The plot moves quickly and doesn't drag.

Please don't include my work in any recommendation or warning compilations, such as spoiler lists or so-called recommendation and avoidance lists.

This is not a Batman-as-a-doting-dad story.

At its heart, the whole story is just a joke told by some unlucky kids who might also be crazy. It won't be very long, and I'll do my best not to steal the spotlight from the original characters.

A few disclaimers: don't blame me if I say something will be heartbreaking and it is. This is an OC story, so if that's not your thing, don't read it. I don't recommend it, so please steer clear. The original characters appear only rarely, so you could pretty much treat this as an original story.
