After Reincarnating as a Knight, I Became a Black Mage

I am the most legendary dark mage in history. Of course, people also call me by my new name: Calamity of Misfortune.

The nobility despised me, the common folk feared me, and on the day I disappeared, people cheered.

And yet... I was reincarnated.

The good news: I'm alive again.

The bad news: My body is overflowing with light element, and I've become a knight who is close to the light...

*

In the otherworldly land of Saint Berylia, people take pride in being knights. I've become one of those glorious (crossed out) knights, but I used to be a dark mage, okay (?)

Dark mages exist only in the legends of Saint Berylia, and I will be its one and only dark mage, even if I'm currently a knight...

Here, knights are renowned for their eight virtues: humility, honesty, mercy, courage, justice, sacrifice, honor, and soul.

Me: ? No, seriously, do you knights have that many virtues?!

Then we dark mages can't lose!

For the glory of dark mages, I, a dark mage, will create dark mage virtues too:

Stinginess, holding grudges, robbing the rich to enrich myself, and never letting an insult go unanswered...

There are too many virtues to list them all, but I am a glorious dark mage.

In the year 6853, evil spirits invaded, and all of Saint Berylia prepared for war. Knights are the natural enemies of evil spirits, knights take pride in protecting their homeland, knights make selfless sacrifices...

All right, since knights have so many merits, I can be a glorious dark mage knight too.

Me: Just this once. Don't expect me to do it again.

I'll keep revising it later.

My take on Western fantasy.

Probably a Western fantasy story about a knight academy.

Theme: Everyone has a bright future
