Flustered, Chi Ying turned and ran without hearing the faint laugh behind her.

On her way back from the restroom to the private room at the bar, Chi Ying heard Qin Ran say to his friend in his usual flippant tone:

"Good girls aren't my type. I got her to fall for me, so the bet's over."

He had barely finished speaking when a glass of ice-cold wine was poured over his head. Qin Ran saw Chi Ying's reddened eyes and felt afraid for the first time.

Chi Ying held back her tears and gave him a bitter smile. "Qin Ran, we're breaking up."

When they met again, they unexpectedly ran into each other at a restaurant.

Qin Ran stared at her hand intertwined with her boyfriend's, his eyes darkening even though his expression remained unchanged. "Your boyfriend? Aren't you going to introduce us?"

Chi Ying had no intention of getting involved with him. "There's no need."

Later, in a private room at the restaurant, Qin Ran pinned Chi Ying against the wall. Hearing her boyfriend call for her, he gave a roguish smile. "Shh, don't make a sound. Your boyfriend is right outside."

Chi Ying gritted her teeth. "What the hell do you want?!"

"I want you." Qin Ran leaned close to her ear and lowered his voice, almost crazed. "Chi Ying, you're the only one I want."
