Debate Opponent, Please Show Some Respect

[Career-Driven Straight-Talking Female Lead vs. Fierce Debate-Room Guard Dog, Clingy Sweetheart Offstage]

After starting at A University, Zhao Qianshan only wants to join the debate team and train hard, putting the shadow of her past competition loss behind her. She wants to enter the world of debate, compete in all kinds of tournaments, and fight her way through to trophies, certificates of honor, and Best Debater awards... So why is this annoying guy always following her around?

1. At an intercollegiate debate, Zhao Qianshan, the fourth speaker for the opposition, clashes with Lin Henan, the third speaker for the affirmative, during the open floor debate.

"Your side has been discussing the question of what is, but the key issue today..."

"Debater, right now I like you, and you like me. By the standards of what ought to be, we should be dating, but in reality we're not. Doesn't that prove my side's point?"

Zhao Qianshan freezes for a second. "Please don't evade the question."

He looks at her teasingly. "Then answer this first: by the standards of what ought to be, shouldn't we be dating?"

"...Debater, please behave yourself."

2. Ever since they got together, someone has been trying every trick in the book to distract Zhao Qianshan from her debate prep.

"Can you let me finish these four qualitative and one quantitative questions?"

"How could those questions matter more than me?"

"They matter a lot more than you," she mutters.

Lin Henan isn't having it. "You have three seconds to take that back."

"Taking it back now." Zhao Qianshan pulls his chair closer. "Come on, let's practice this set of questions and see if the order flows."
