1. The heroine is an oblivious heartthrob with an incredibly high tolerance for emotional cues. When the hero cuddles up to her, she's the sort of wooden block who asks if he's cold.

2. The heroine has a fiance, but the hero doesn't think he's the other man, because the one who isn't loved is the real third wheel (not really).
