Falling in Love Out of Season

After Leng Xia was dumped by the boyfriend she'd known for ten years and dated for five, she did a lot of things that didn't fit her "good girl" personality.

Like quitting her job.

Like going to an island by herself.

Like spending half a month's wages on a meal at a five-star hotel.

And like having a one-night stand with a man she'd only known for a few days.

That night, the man kissed her face and asked, "What's your name?"

Leng Xia hesitated for a few seconds, then made one up on the spot: "Yang Dong."

She heard him hum as he nibbled her earlobe. "I'm Shi Yu."

The next morning, without saying goodbye to Shi Yu, who was still asleep, she caught the first flight off the island and returned to her dreary life.

She thought it was just one ridiculous little episode in her life.

Until one day, she brought her resume to an interview at a company she'd arranged to visit. The moment Leng Xia pushed open the door, she froze...

A moment later, she heard someone inside say:

"It really is you..." Shi Yu stared at the woman in the doorway, the one he'd been searching for for months, his voice full of disbelief. "So my girlfriend didn't just treat me like a booty call, she didn't even tell me her real name?"
