Lucien knew he was a vile villain.

Since he was a villain, whatever happened to him after his defeat was no more than he deserved.

But if he could live his life over, if he had known what kind of madman Elvis was, he would have curbed his desires, abandoned his ambitions, and become a good person.

The goddess heard his dying wish and gave him another chance.

Reborn, he decided to stay away from the royal court and from Elvis, and try to become a good person who would never catch the attention of the Empire's Golden Lion.

But no matter how well he disguised himself, the evil coexisting with his soul could never fade.

Afraid to provoke Elvis again but unwilling to abandon his ambitions, Lucien decided to set his sights on the next generation.

His reasoning was simple: half-elves could not have descendants. As long as he had enough descendants, even if none of them could outlast Elvis, one of them could at least live to see Elvis die! Then the Twilight family could inherit his will and rule the Empire!

To achieve his goal, Lucien began actively searching for a suitable bride. And then...

“Would you consider marrying me? That way, your family could have the bloodline of an elven king.” Elvis's half-brother, the elf king Erevon, known as the “Moonshadow Tyrant,” sat in a laurel tree in the Twilight residence. After hearing Lucien's grand ambition, he tempted him beneath the most beautiful silver moonlight: “It would only take one generation to outlast my brother. What do you say?”

Just as Lucien was wavering, his friend, the great demon Valain, snapped him back to his senses:

“If you have a half-elf with an elf, that's as good as having no descendants. To be safe, why not have one with me too? Demons don't have half-demons, you know.”

At that, Lucien came to his senses completely. Terrifying memories from his past life came rushing back, and he refused with a dark expression. Yet in the vast human Empire, he could not find a single suitable bride. To make matters worse, Elvis, still at the royal court, heard about Lucien's search for a bride and came to see him too.

“You want to kill me, so why not do it yourself?” The half-elf was tall and slender, and when he lowered his head, he nearly blocked out all the light in front of Lucien. He blinked and offered a sincere suggestion: “You could marry me. We could establish a magical contract to ensure I die before you. You could watch me die with your own eyes. Wouldn't that put your mind more at ease?”

In their past life, the top was repeatedly exploited by the bottom for power and status. His mind grew increasingly twisted, and in the end, after rescuing the bottom, who had failed in his rebellion and suffered the consequences, he forced him into a relationship, leaving him with PTSD.

In this life, the bottom decides to turn over a new leaf and become a better person so he won't have to endure that “revenge” again.
