[Blurb]

Aoi Akikawa woke up to find himself holding a murder weapon at a crime scene. The victim shared his name and face. Even more terrifying, there was no sign of a third person.

Did I... kill myself? (Jin Wuming, looking bewildered)

He gritted his teeth and took the dead version of himself's place, living the life of a corporate drone for a few days. Then he died a sudden death for stepping out with his left foot first, and woke up at a new crime scene.

I Killed Myself 2.0

Aoi Akikawa, facing the same thing for the second time: ...

From then on, a new crime scene could appear at any time, in any place.

The victim and killer never changed, and every crime scene came with the same message.

[Find Hagiwara Kenji.]

*

Hagiwara Kenji had fallen in love.

His partner was cheerful and outgoing, and was struggling through preparations for the university entrance exams. The only strange thing about him was how mysterious he was.

He would suddenly disappear for a while, and when he came back, he never said where he'd been. He would have injuries, along with things that weren't his: a business card from a high-tech company, a shop lease, a driver's license with the name erased...

Hagiwara Kenji didn't mind his lover's secrets.

They were deeply in love. After surviving several brushes with death, Hagiwara's proposal was accepted, and they were about to begin a new chapter of their lives.

The day before they registered their marriage, his childhood friend told him gravely:

There was no one named Aoi Akikawa in the household registry. Everything he had said was a lie.
