A Stiff Father and a Lively Mother in the Fifties

Something big has happened in the Song family: their son, a PhD who just returned to China to pursue his degree, has apparently fathered a child out of wedlock.

Song Tangtang pointed at the photo and asked Song Xie, "Do you know her?"

Song Xie nodded and adjusted his glasses. He was about to explain when Song Tangtang continued accusing him. "Did you say my mom was stupid?"

Song Xie hesitated, then nodded.

"And you wouldn't even let her buy a boat ticket back to China to find you."

"Yes."

He admitted to everything Song Tangtang said, anyway.

A few days later, Zhao Xuanyu, who had transmigrated from the year 2000, discovered that not only had her body become young again, but her identity had also become fifty years younger. Looking at the ever-stern and meticulous Dr. Song, she decided to take back the technology robot she'd made, codenamed Song Tangtang. But Song Xie stopped her and asked, "Our son needs me to take responsibility, and I said I'd take responsibility for you, too. Why are you leaving me?"

Zhao Xuanyu: "Maybe this is all a misunderstanding. Goodbye, Dr. Song."

They met again at a wedding. Song Tangtang tearfully watched Zhao Xuanyu off. "Mom, if you marry Dr. Song, does that mean I won't have a mom anymore?"

Zhao Xuanyu: "Son, there's no need to put it like that. You'll still have your mom, and you'll also gain a stern dad."

In her previous life, Zhao Xuanyu encountered pirates on the ship back to China, and her memory was damaged. After a friend rescued her, she completely forgot her first love, Song Xie. By the time she remembered him again, she was already in her twilight years.

She learned in a news report that Song Xie had never married and had devoted his whole life to his country. She decided to bring the robot she'd developed to find him, never expecting to fulfill the dream she'd had in her youth.
