Sometimes I Think of You

“Your phone password.”

A string of numbers surfaced in Bai Ruo’s mind. In the end, she took the phone and entered them herself.

She hadn’t used this old phone in years.

Today, her pet had been tearing around the room and turning everything upside down, so she had to clean the place from top to bottom. That was when she found the old phone.

Suddenly, she wanted to see what was inside: the memories she had buried and deliberately tried not to think about.

“It’s fixed. Two hundred.” The shop owner had met Bai Ruo a few times before, and couldn’t help asking, “Do you have a boyfriend now?”

Bai Ruo nodded. “This is my boyfriend.”

She found the man’s photo on her phone. The shop owner glanced at it, looking impressed. “He’s pretty handsome.”

Bai Ruo blushed slightly, collected her things, and left the shop.

She had lied.

She didn’t have a boyfriend. The man in her phone was just her deskmate in her senior year of high school.

Nothing more.

But she had already fallen for him that year.

Jing Yan.

She softly repeated his name in her heart. It had been seven years since she graduated from high school.

She hadn’t seen Jing Yan once in all those years.
