Synopsis

A modern retelling of the danmei short story Kill the Husband (book ID 9518424).

Yan Qing discovers that her live-in son-in-law is cheating on her. The woman he's cheating with is a beautiful young woman who has had little formal education.

She goes to meet the young woman. Together, they decide to kick Yan Qing's husband out of the house and build a new family of their own.

Content warning: The young woman becomes pregnant and has an abortion.

A very, very short story. The gong is a virgin, the shou is not. Happy ending.

Other danmei shorts in my column include Falling for Her Long Hair and Shengnan and Zhaodi. Please check them out!

Theme: Pursuing happiness.
