To Such a Loathsome Me

[Doppelgangers* Mystery* Revenge* Ensemble Cast] [Social Realist Mystery] [A somewhat gloomy atmosphere like that of The Long Night, but also plenty of wildly romantic scenes]

Synopsis:

After a baffling kidnapping, the abducted girl dies unexpectedly.

As people search for the culprit, the truth behind an accidental death at a middle school more than a decade ago gradually emerges, stripping away everyone's masks.

A forthright, boisterous detective, a cold and aloof director, an innocent nurse, a forced-porn writer, a lively and adorable HR worker, a taciturn clerk, a socially adept housewife... Who is innocent? Who is the killer lurking in the shadows, flickering in and out of sight?

Synopsis 2:

She said, "I kept waiting for someone to save me. Then she finally appeared, and she was there to kill me."

At ten o'clock at night, the deserted path seemed especially eerie beneath a dim streetlight that was half broken. Lu Xinglan walked slowly along the roadside, then suddenly shouted at the broken streetlight, "Stop coming after me!"

After a pause, she murmured as if talking to herself, "You've been dead for a long time."

Three [realistic] couples: pure love, pure angst, pure hatred

Couple 1: They seem to hate each other, but actually care about each other.

Couple 2: They seem to love each other, but are really testing each other.

Couple 3: They seem to care about each other, but actually can't stand each other.

Bold and deranged, a twisted work. An extreme romance born after so much distortion and pain.

This is a novel about self-destruction.

It's also a novel about saving myself.

I wrote this novel to bring some comfort and release to those who have been through darkness.

Theme: A healthy society allows people to live well even when they are weak or flawed, instead of ganging up on them for their weakness and flaws.

Progress note: July 19. I have 11 chapters queued, but the Bunny story has cut in line, so updates for this one may slow down. P.S. This story is so romantic. It feels like searching desperately for each other through a stormy night, still trying to find each other and hold one another close.
