When she was sixteen, Chen Muqiao, a poor and withdrawn girl, lived one floor above the new transfer student in her class.
In public, they were strangers who didn't know each other. In private, they were study buddies and good friends who walked home together.
At eighteen, she lost her memory. She forgot nothing except one person.
For seven years, she never returned to that city.
