Callista Valemont is a criminal mastermind from the future, an expert in criminal psychology and all kinds of criminal methods.
An unexpected accident drags her into an alternate dimension, where she is bound to a role-playing System and tasked with portraying all sorts of fictional characters.
But every single one of these characters is a good person.
The first time, she becomes an honest, kindhearted housekeeper adored by a countess. But after the countess dies, she becomes the prime suspect.
The second time, she becomes a wise aristocratic young lady opposed to her sister's marriage to the man she loves. When her sister's sweetheart is murdered, she is accused of the crime.
The third time...
Callista has to wonder: Does she really look like such a good person?
Whatever role she draws, she always ends up with a spotless reputation, only to be framed every time.
How is that not an insult to her professional career?
So she decides to stir up trouble behind the scenes and make things more entertaining, turning simple melodramas into tangled messes that make life difficult for NPCs and other role-players alike.
After all, as long as the System doesn't judge her role-playing out of character, she's fine!
But whenever she tries to put her plans into action, some irritating guy keeps getting in her way and ruining them.
Sherlock Holmes is a well-known consulting detective in London, renowned for his vast knowledge and extraordinary intelligence.
An equally unexpected accident brings him into a bizarre realm, where he's asked to play characters with all kinds of identities.
He could be the obsessive admirer of a framed housekeeper, or the creepy fiancé of an aristocratic young lady accused of murder, or...
But on top of all that, he has a secret, special identity.
A detective.
Sherlock says the arrangement suits him perfectly.
Even if the roles he has to play are peculiar, he's thrilled to put his mind to good use!
How is that not an endorsement of his professional career?
But while enjoying this strange adventure, he seems to keep running into a spiteful troublemaker who likes to trip him up behind the scenes.
Every time he's about to finish a mission, the other person uses some trick without anyone noticing, changing the established plot and making his progress plummet.
Sherlock: Interesting.
He is determined to unmask the mysterious person who loves setting traps.
During a brief return to reality, Sherlock shared the strange events of the other world with his friend Watson.
What puzzled him was that Watson didn't seem surprised at all, as if he had known about everything from the beginning.
So Sherlock asked him outright.
Watson: "My friend, I've already read all those plots in The Days I Was a Good Person. If I hadn't known you for years, I would've thought you were so obsessed with that novel that you imagined yourself as one of its characters, then told me the plot all over again."
After hearing this, Sherlock immediately bought every magazine in the series and read them carefully.
At last, he reached a conclusion with absolute certainty.
The author of this story was the mysterious person he'd been searching for all along, and he was the "irritating guy" in their book!!
