She came from the edge of darkness.
She was the embodiment of fear, the herald of death.
She was an existence beyond reason. Born alongside human civilization, she slept through the long nights of the wilderness, then awoke amid the dazzling neon lights.
Many years later, when facing the ancient demon god towering over all of humanity, Maccamon the Eleventh would recall the night she first came ashore: she tripped over her own legs with a bark, then rolled around on the deck, whining.

At ten in human years,
Lu Feichen, with her little round face, solemnly asked her adoptive mother, "Did you hear it? The sound of the omen."
Her adoptive mother brandished a giant iron ladle. "I don't know what Zheng Zhao sounds like, but I've heard the sound of a ladle hitting someone's head plenty of times. Want to hear it yourself?"
At twenty in human years,
The believers danced with joy at the distant altar. "We have prayed and given everything, all so we could welcome the arrival of the Death God of Old today. Please bring merciful destruction to this cold world. Lead us into a new paradise! Have mercy on us! Have mercy on us!"
Lu Feichen perched atop a gigantic abandoned robot, busily licking her tentacles. Beside her, a cat licked its hind leg in the same way.
"Ugh, it's so salty." Lu Feichen patted the cat's head. "No licking for you. Those with fur to lick cannot receive the Death God's mercy!"
A cyberpunk setting, a lighthearted comedy featuring a cast of lovable lunatics.
An eldritch tentacled goddess heroine (though she's a neurotic octopus-cow-cat) x a human elite hero (who'll bring you lunch without needing to be called Dad).
Theme: A happy life has to be made with your own hands (or many hands).
