Ren Chaoye was born in the poorest, lowest-class district of the Empire. Yet thanks to his exceptional abilities, he landed a job as general manager at the wealthy Yu Corporation.

In public, he was a refined, aloof professional who could always solve any problem perfectly.

In private, he hid a secret longing: he had fallen for his subordinate, Yu Qing, who was also the younger brother of his boss.

Yu Qing was the pampered youngest son of the Yu family. He was male and liked men, and he had grown up in a family with an overwhelming need for control, always taking pride in his rebellious streak.
