Luffy transmigrates after dying from overwork into the notorious Japanese and Korean section, where he plays the protagonist's useless husband in a restricted series called “Stealing a Kiss: The Sleeping Husband.” The husband can't get a word out of him even after three blows, and even when the male homewrecker waltzes into the next room to fool around, he remains deaf and blind to it all.
To make the obsessive pursuit of taboo thrills by the large audience of NTR fetishists seem reasonable, Luffy has to follow the character's role and perform a series of clueless, arrogant, and obnoxious acts.
After all, what have the viewers done wrong? It's the useless husband who can't keep his wife!
Luffy raises his middle finger to the heavens: “Damn you, fate! I'll f***ing, ”
He curses, but to complete the plot and get home, Luffy has no choice but to hold his nose and flesh out the story. As time goes on, he gradually realizes the advantages of cosplaying as an obnoxious man:
1. He takes the protagonist's wife shopping and runs into a vendor selling lamb skewers.
Vendor: “Don't walk past without a taste! Three yuan each, five yuan for two. If they're not tasty, they're free!”
Luffy strolls over. “Give me two of the ones that aren't tasty.”
2. The boss holds a meeting to discuss next quarter's plans, and Luffy no longer has to be the poor workhorse carrying the team.
Coworker A: “Blah, blah, blah...”
Luffy applauds. “That sounds good.”
Coworker B: “I think...”
Luffy changes tack. “I'll go with your idea.”
3. The protagonist's wife has just started her internship and is short on cash, so he asks Luffy for spending money.
Luffy proudly lifts his chin. “I'll send you 50 yuan. Is that enough?”
“Not enough? I'll send another 50!”
“You know I don't like men who are too materialistic.”
As time passes, this useless husband is pretty great. This useless husband is wonderful.
Luffy, who has never been so caustic to people before, sheds two enormous cartoon tears:
Being an obnoxious man is way too fun!
Xu Qing is a small-town exam machine who made it out of a remote village and into a Fortune 500 company. From childhood, he has lived by the motto, “If studying won't kill you, study until it does.” Though his first half of life was mired in endless drudgery, he still used to imagine what his future husband might be like.
Of all the possibilities, he never imagined it would be this useless, obnoxious man, who can't lift or carry a thing, has neither a good personality nor good looks, and is well into his twenties but still lies flat, mooching off his parents!
But that thought didn't last long before it vanished completely.
Sure, he's a bit of a loser, but at least he can fix light bulbs, faucets, toilets, and drains... And he makes up for it by being great in bed and having a screw loose. No need to worry about him cheating.
Most importantly, he can give Xu Qing a home.
Love your husband and you'll prosper. After Xu Qing reassures himself, his career takes off, and he becomes more and more convinced that an ordinary, peaceful life is a blessing.
He feels this way right up until the day Luffy comes to pick him up after work. Xu Qing's boss, who's repeatedly tried to win him over, sees Luffy and recoils in shock, shouting:
“Holy crap, Brother Fei!”
Luffy is having a grand old time as an obnoxious man, but with time the damn System starts pushing its luck and issuing increasingly outrageous missions.
At first
[Ding! Side mission one issued: Host, return to the bedroom immediately, take off your underwear, and order the protagonist's wife to wash it clean.]
Luffy: “...Isn't there a more dignified way to be obnoxious?”
Later
[Ding! Main mission issued: Host, fulfill your marital duties immediately and turn the protagonist's wife into a proper househusband, so that his golden-boy boss, icy client, gentle childhood friend...]
Luffy's face turns bright red. He cuts in through gritted teeth: “And then what... you get to satisfy you sickos who are obsessed with thrills, right?!”
