The Necromancer's Commission

Also known as "Rotten Stench [Mystery]"

After finishing all his quick transmigration missions, Shang Xu finally returned to his own world.

Shang Xu entered the villa he had not visited in a long time and opened a window to air it out.

He caught a faint, intermittent whiff of something rotting.

He gazed out at the snow.

A dark shape lay in the snow outside.

He went out of the villa and saw the corpse.

A little blood remained on its hands and chest.

A smile lingered at the corner of its mouth, and its body had only just begun to decay.

It looked as though he had been dead for two months.

The snow had fallen for two months and had only just stopped, preserving him beneath it.

Shang Xu crouched down and asked, "Do you have any grievance you wish to have heard?"

There was no other sound in the silent snowfield.

But Shang Xu heard a reply, and the jade pendant on his chest glowed green.

The corpse was speaking: "I have a grievance."

Once again, Shang Xu became a detective for the dead and began solving the case to clear the deceased's name.

This was what he was best at. His previous quick transmigration missions had been to help the dead find justice and clear their names.

The corpse's identity remained a mystery.

Later, Shang Xu discovered that the corpse did not belong to this era. He had come from the future.

Using an item from the System, Shang Xu traveled to the future to uncover the truth.
