[A Dashing, Unruly Prince x A Spoiled, Spirited Noblewoman]
As the only daughter of the Duke of Guo's household, Yang Yantang was doted on from the moment she was born. But because she was often ill at the age of three, her mother went to the most famous temple to consult a master. He told her that Yang Yantang had to stay in their ancestral home until she was fourteen before she could return.
So Yang Yantang remained in Shu until she was fourteen, then finally went home. But just a month after her return, she had already become famous for being spoiled and fiery.
A few months before Yang Yantang's coming-of-age ceremony, a misunderstanding brought her face-to-face with Prince Duan, Fu Shenzhuo.
Fu Shenzhuo was the emperor's youngest full brother, and the emperor had raised him himself, so he doted on the prince.
Apart from the emperor and empress, he was the last person anyone should cross. Rumor had it that Prince Duan was devastatingly handsome, but his face was his only remarkable feature. He was also unruly, carefree, and insufferably arrogant.
Even so, countless noblewomen wanted to marry him.
When they first met, Fu Shenzhuo was stopping a woman dressed in white on the street, accompanied by one of his attendants. Yang Yantang took a closer look and realized the woman was her future sister-in-law. She cursed him inwardly: "How utterly shameless! He dares bully my sister-in-law!" While Fu Shenzhuo wasn't looking, she stuck out her foot and kicked him hard.
For the first time, Fu Shenzhuo had been bested by a woman. When he looked up to find her, he saw a woman in a green skirt running off with the other woman. He had no idea that her kick had landed right on his heart.
After ordering an investigation, he learned that the woman was the daughter of General Yang Yi, a young lady of the Yang household. Fu Shenzhuo had been about to let the matter go when, that very day, he was told that his brother wanted to find him a suitable wife.
He had no intention of marrying just yet. But when he saw the words "Miss Yang of the Yang household," he knew exactly how to make his brother give up the idea of finding him a princess consort!
When Yang Yantang found out the man was Prince Duan, she was trying to figure out how to resolve the problem when her parents learned that she had offended him. They forced her to go apologize to him.
When she arrived at Prince Duan's residence, she was told she would have to serve as someone's personal maid for a month to make amends. Yang Yantang thought of her parents being away and could only grit her teeth and agree.
Over the course of that month,
Prince Duan's residence was thrown into chaos, lively as ever. The two of them found that if they didn't trade insults at least once a day, something felt missing.
Fu Shenzhuo also wanted revenge for that first kick, but most of the time he ended up getting outmaneuvered instead.
Later, somehow, he found out that Yang Yantang was about to be betrothed. He then did everything he could to sabotage her marriage prospects.
Though Prince Duan had no idea why he was acting this way, he still believed he was helping Yang Yantang see those men for who they really were!
Before long, Fu Shenzhuo happily threw himself into the mix!
Years later, when Yang Yantang recalled those events, she laughed at Fu Shenzhuo and said, "In the end, I still won!"
Please note: The romantic storyline and intimate interactions between the leads will only begin after they are both over fifteen.
