An Unconventional Shunsui Tsunayoshi

Sawada Tsunayoshi, male, a high school senior who has finished the Ring Future Inheritance Ceremony and the Representative Battle, and works part-time as the head of the mafia like an ordinary student.

Under the threat from his teacher at home that if he can't get into the University of Tokyo, he'll have to take over the family business, he spends every day teetering on the edge of dying from exhaustion.

The day before the university entrance exams, Tsuna closes and opens his eyes, only to find himself kidnapped to a place that calls itself the Time Government.

They tell him his world was destroyed by historical revisionists, and that he is the only survivor.

Tsuna doesn't believe them, and thinks his Hyper Intuition must be broken. Otherwise, why would it keep warning him that everything they say is true?

As Tsuna climbs over a wall to escape, he accidentally runs into a fox boy named Konnosuke. They both tumble through a time rift and land in an unfamiliar world formed by the fusion of several small worlds.

To contact the Time Government and get back home, Tsuna has no choice but to rely on the fragmentary clues Konnosuke receives, temporarily take on the role of a Saniwa, and protect history by fighting the Time Retrograde Army.

Konnosuke: I got a photo from the Time Government. According to history, this person is supposed to take a drug that makes him shrink and become a famous detective. (Takes out a photo of Kudo Shinichi.)

Tsuna looks at Kaito, who happens to be passing by, and slaps his thigh. What a coincidence!

So he knocks out Gin, steals the APTX 4869, uses Gin's money to start a detective agency overnight, and vows to train shrunken Kaito into a great detective who surpasses Ranpo.

But a few days later, Konnosuke receives another message from the Time Government.

Konnosuke: (Takes out a photo of Kaito.)

Konnosuke: This person is supposed to inherit his father's job and become Kaitou Kid.

The boy and fox stare at the face identical to the one belonging to the person they shrank and fall silent. Just then, the TV happens to be showing an interview with Shinichi, who has just solved another baffling case.

Tsuna suddenly understands. So he's a detective on the surface, but moonlights as a phantom thief, helping the police catch himself. That's the secret behind why Kaitou Kid is never caught. It makes perfect sense!

Konnosuke: This time, the message says we need to protect the life of a white-haired boy with special abilities and make sure he joins the Armed Detective Agency.

White hair, special abilities, and in danger of dying?

Tsuna watches Shibusawa get beaten up by the Double Black duo, and it clicks.

Konnosuke: This time the message is vague. Something about a monkey, jujutsu, and a cult leader?

Tsuna: I think I saw someone at a tennis match before who was called the Monkey King.

As the boy and fox discuss this, Geto summons a white dragon that flies overhead.

Konnosuke: That's amazing. Just like the Boss, he can summon youkai.

Tsuna: The Boss?

Konnosuke: The Boss is very kind. His surname is Natsume, and he can summon lots of youkai. He also carries a cat that can turn into something else.

Tsuna: Natsume, a transforming cat, and the ability to summon youkai. That sounds a lot like a combination of Natsume Soseki and that boy from just now.

Konnosuke and Tsuna look at each other, immediately see eye to eye, and set things up so Natsume Soseki becomes Geto's teacher.

After learning about the situation in the jujutsu world, Natsume Soseki silently turns to Geto. "My student, how about learning about the Three-Way Deadlock?"
