Unhinged, crybaby, fussy beauty gong x violent-aesthetics, straightforward, flirtatious and bold shou
Guide x Sentinel, younger man, shou dotes on gong, gong is a lovesick fool, shou is adored by everyone, shou is not a virgin
In 2980, the apocalypse broke out. Countless monsters came from the universe, and some humans were forced to evolve in order to survive.
Some became strong and robust, with special abilities. They were called Sentinels. Others developed a special constitution that produced pheromones capable of soothing Sentinels. They were called Guides.
Wen Xie, a Sentinel and captain of the Third Safe Zone's Monster Core Squad Seven, spends his days either leading his team in killing monsters or slacking off and flirting with men. Then one morning, a team member calls him. "Brother Xie, we've got a new Guide on the team. He's a gorgeous twenty-one-year-old! The higher-ups assigned him as your temporary Guide, and he says he's your younger brother."
Wen Xie: "Nonsense. I don't have a younger bro..."
Wen Xie remembers the little boy with no blood relation to him, with whom he'd depended on each other for survival in the orphanage.
Wen Xie: "..."
When they meet again, the soft, timid little boy who used to be a mess has grown up, changed his name to Shang Yixing, and become a gorgeous man with broad shoulders, a trim waist, long legs, and a tall frame.
He's usually incredibly cold toward people, but his Guide pheromones smell of sweet, refreshing pomelo blossoms. When he rushes over, their rich scent is so strong it nearly makes you squint.
Of course, Shang Yixing himself is just as overpowering as that floral scent, and quite intimidating.
Even if Wen Xie stands a little too close to a male coworker and leans in to exchange a few quiet words, the young man flies into a rage, raises his gun, and shouts, "Stay away from my brother."
Wen Xie: "...?"
When Wen Xie meets an ex-boyfriend at a cafe for a mission, Shang Yixing says ominously, "If you dare get back together with your ex, I'll chop him into pieces and dry him into jerky for my collection."
Wen Xie: "..."
Wen Xie: "Baby, I'd never dare."
But the pomelo blossom scent isn't just sweet and refreshing. There's also a hint of youthful innocence and beauty.
Like the young man before him, crying and blaming himself because his Guide pheromones couldn't heal Wen Xie's severed arm fast enough after a monster cut it off.
Wen Xie reaches out to wipe the tears from Shang Yixing's cheek and gives a helpless tug at his lips. "It's only part of an arm. It'll grow back."
Shang Yixing bites his lip. "But I just hate seeing you get hurt. Losing an arm is even worse. Even if a monster eats me, you mustn't get hurt because of it."
He's frighteningly stubborn, both wild and calm. "Only I get to leave scars on you."
Content warnings:
1. The shou has had partners of both sexes, including a steady partner, but that relationship ended before the main story begins. It's mature, messy, and meant to let off steam. The gong is devoted, pure-hearted, and keeps himself virtuous. This is the author's personal preference. If it's not for you, please click away.
2. The shou dotes on the gong, but the shou is actually the one who leads the relationship.
3. The shou is adored by everyone. Everyone respects and likes him, so there will definitely be love rivals.
4. The shou is the strongest human fighter. The gong can't beat him, but the gong is no pushover either. (Really, he's not weak. He just can't beat his wife, not that he can't beat anyone else.)
5. Both the gong and shou are lovesick fools who would die for each other. No switching or splitting them up. The author is a top-tier CP fan.
6. This doesn't follow the traditional Sentinel-Guide setup. There are lots of original elements. It's a romance wearing an apocalypse story's clothes. For more details, see the content warnings in the author's note at the end of Chapter One.
Upcoming modern-day romance: Scheming White Moonlight Always Wants to Make Our Fake Romance Real
Expected to start in April 2026
Scheming, sweet-talking, willful gong x sharp-tongued, expressionless cool guy shou
He Zuowu x Yi Xiaonian, beautiful 1 and handsome 0, younger man, mutually doting, mutually exclusive, happy ending, ex-husband desperately chasing his love, lots of love rivals. The dating show takes place after the shou divorces his ex-husband, so the story has several tens of thousands of words of setup first.
An attempt at practicing a relationship-focused story. I'm unfamiliar with the entertainment industry, so readers who follow celebrities, beware.
Because he'd been secretly in love with Xing Ke for years, Yi Xiaonian agreed to marry him when Xing Ke's mother said Xing Ke needed someone to keep him in line.
He went from being overjoyed at first, to utterly disheartened years later. Then, when he learned that Xing Ke had kept a certain white moonlight in his heart for years, he finally snapped and cut ties with Xing Ke for good.
But He Zuowu, that white moonlight who has just returned from abroad to hold a concert, seems to know nothing about it. He gives Yi Xiaonian roses, perfume, and a diamond ring, saying, "I'm just delivering a gift for Brother Xing. Don't mind me, Brother Nian."
Yi Xiaonian smiles on the outside, while cursing him in his head. What, did he come here to stake his claim?
As if things weren't bad enough, it isn't enough for the white moonlight to stake his claim. Yi Xiaonian is forced onto a lifestyle dating show, where he runs into Xing Ke again and even draws his white moonlight as his partner?!
He Zuowu: "Are Brother Nian and I a CP this episode? Brother Nian, if we're a CP, won't Brother Xing get mad?"
Yi Xiaonian glances at Xing Ke.
Xing Ke's face turns green.
Later, He Zuowu proposes to Yi Xiaonian and says to Xing Ke, "Brother Xing, Yi and I got engaged. You'll wish us well, won't you?"
Xing Ke curses him out.
He Zuowu hides behind Yi Xiaonian and complains, "Brother Nian, he's so mean."
Amused, Yi Xiaonian steps between them and looks at Xing Ke, who refuses to let go. After a long silence, he says, "Xing Ke, this is it for us."
He says, "I've already found someone to spend the rest of my life with."
·
He Zuowu's memories of Yi Xiaonian stop in the ninth grade.
In his memories, Yi Xiaonian is the sort who is always scowling, has a lousy personality, and is intimidating in everything he says and does.
Especially when helping him prepare for the high school entrance exams.
Yi Xiaonian presses down on his head, his eyes darkening ominously as he tells him, "Every time you doze off, I'll draw a turtle on your face with a permanent marker."
Teenage He Zuowu has nothing going for him except his face. The moment he hears someone is going to draw a turtle on his much-adored face, he jolts awake. He doesn't doze off even once for the entire semester.
After going abroad to study, every time He Zuowu thinks of Yi Xiaonian, all he can remember is that fierce face.
When he returns home, he sees Yi Xiaonian with a low fever and realizes that Yi Xiaonian is actually very handsome, very alluring.
Especially on the dating show, Yi Xiaonian is so reliable.
He'll go into the river to catch the shrimp He Zuowu wants to eat. When he's sick, he takes good care of him. When he's hurt, he'll gently touch the wound and bandage it with such tenderness, a striking contrast to his usually impassive face...
He is captivated by the warmth and sincerity in Yi Xiaonian's every move, and comes to realize, in a daze, that loving someone can be so passionate.
So much so that Xing Ke easily notices He Zuowu's advances toward Yi Xiaonian.
He Zuowu smiles, as flamboyant as ever. "Brother Xing, you never used to be this mean to me. I only met Brother Nian because you introduced us, and we're together fair and square. Why are you angry? What right do you have to be angry?"
Watching Xing Ke's face turn black with anger, He Zuowu smiles. "Thanks for introducing me to my partner, Brother Xing. I really like him."
Theme: Stand up straight and be a decent person.
I reluctantly finished reading it because the author's popularity is so bad. I think the writing style is not that bad. At least it is better than some articles that give me headaches after reading two lines. However, I basically didn't like the setting of this book (I originally came in to see the cute animal whistles), the story structure (I like the emotional flow), and the subject matter (I don't like Doomsday), but I decided to finish it in order to support the author. But doesn't this kind of article have an audience? Why is it so miserable? (But I'm not an audience, so I can't comment on the quality.) So it's to support the author + to show my love for Nianxia that I have supported the entire audience...✋Come on, author, come on Nianxia...👋I will take a break to read your other book
Why are there so few good-looking writers?
This article is not bad, but there are only so many comments... [Changed] caressing the author

Fourth brother is so handsome! Damn!!!!!!
It's not about whether this is a whistle or a whistle. I was confused when I saw it at the end. I was convinced.
