Passion Under the Moonlight

Jiang Shuhan never imagined she would end up in the same bed as Duan Youchen.

While he slept, she fled in a panic.

A month later, Jiang Shuhan walks out of the gynecology department with her test results, her hand unconsciously resting on her stomach.

She's pregnant.

The hospital is crowded. Jiang Shuhan is accidentally bumped and stumbles forward.

"Careful."

A pair of hands reaches from behind to steady her by the shoulders.

Hearing a voice both unfamiliar and familiar, Jiang Shuhan turns to look.

Duan Youchen appears before her in a white coat.

"Are you all right?"

Unlike the heavy, hoarse voice of that night, his is gentle and clear.

Jiang Shuhan is dazed for a moment, then comes to her senses and tucks a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "I-I'm fine."

As she's about to turn and leave, he calls out to her.

"Wait, you dropped something."

At his words, Jiang Shuhan freezes. Then she tries to snatch the test results from Duan Youchen's hand.

She fails.

The man's brows knit tightly, and his gaze darkens.

"You're pregnant."

With things having come to this, Jiang Shuhan gives up trying to hide it and says, "It's fine. I don't need you to take responsibility."

Duan Youchen ignores her and asks on his own, "Did you bring your ID?"

Jiang Shuhan nods, confused.

"Let's go get our marriage license."

"I need you to take responsibility."
